After an almost 6-year hiatus, the 2021 Venza reappears in the Toyota lineup – and it’s back with a vengeance. The 2021 Venza promises a complete body redesign, refined luxury, enhanced performance and the most advanced technology. So, before it hits stores this summer, you should know what to expect with the Venza’s reintroduction.

Exterior & Interior Design

Within the Toyota lineup, the mid-size Venza is slotted between the RAV4 and Highlander SUV. The Venza’s curved body sculpting contrasts against the boxier, bolder RAV4 and Highlander designs. At first glance, the Venza will embody luxury and style. The front grille boasts a completely new design with matte black detailing and curved LED headlights that blend perfectly into the front profile. The rear profile features end-to-end taillights and dual exhaust tips.

The 5-passenger interior will offer leather seating finishes with 60/40 split rear seats to maximize the space even further. Overall, it’s anticipated to offer similar cargo capacity to the RAV4. This latest Toyota Venza will also be the first of its model years to offer an available electrochromic panoramic sunroof option. With this option, the sunroof glass panels can change from transparent to opaque, providing different levels of sunlight into the cabin.

But the refinement doesn’t stop there – the Venza will also be packed with the latest Toyota technology to make your drive more convenient and fun. The Venza will have a standard 8” touchscreen infotainment system, standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa connectivity and SiriusXM radio. It’ll also be equipped with a 10” colour head-up display and bird’s eye rearview camera with rear camera washer. If you’re looking to enhance your entertainment experience even further, you can opt for the available 12.3” display with integrated navigation and the JBL premium 9-speaker audio system. Finally, the Venza will come equipped with standard Connected Services by Toyota.

Performance & Fuel Economy

As part of the 2021 Toyota Venza redesign, this model will be offered exclusively as a hybrid model. It will utilize a combination of a 2.5L 4-cylinder gas engine and 3 electric motors to deliver up to 219 horsepower. The Venza will also come standard with all-wheel drive. Overall, it’s anticipated to have a city/highway combined fuel economy rating as high as 40 mpg, which delivers almost double the ratings of other competitors in its class.
