Toyota's 2026 model year brings an exciting lineup of vehicles that span from refreshed favourites to all-new electric adventures. Ontario drivers have five standout models to explore, each designed with different needs and lifestyles in mind. From the completely redesigned RAV4 to the first-ever C-HR electric crossover, these vehicles represent Toyota's continued push toward electrification and innovation.
Each of these models offers something different for Ontario drivers, making it easier than ever to find a Toyota that fits well with life in Goderich and across the province. The mix includes everything from efficient hybrids to capable electric SUVs, all backed by Toyota's reputation for reliability and quality.
The sixth-generation RAV4 will arrive as Toyota's most advanced compact SUV yet. This complete redesign moves the RAV4 to 100% electrified powertrains, meaning every model will be either a hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The new RAV4 will come in three distinct design styles: Core, Rugged, and Sport, with the GR SPORT being the first performance-focused RAV4 ever offered in North America.
The hybrid system will deliver 236 hp, while the plug-in hybrid option will reach up to 320 hp with 80 km of electric-only range. All Canadian models will come standard with all-wheel drive, and certain grades can tow up to 1,587 kg (3,500 lbs). The redesigned RAV4 also introduces Toyota's new Arene software platform and Toyota Safety Sense 4.0.
The C-HR will mark Toyota's entry into the compact electric crossover segment with a coupe-like design and performance credentials. Available in front-wheel drive with 221 hp or all-wheel drive with 338 hp, the C-HR will deliver up to 500 km of electric range on the FWD model.
Built on Toyota's dedicated e-TNGA electric platform, the C-HR will feature a 77-kWh battery and NACS charging port for access to thousands of fast-charging stations across Canada. The interior includes a 14-inch touchscreen, dual wireless chargers, and 720 litres of cargo space behind the rear seats.
Previously known as the bZ4X, Toyota's electric SUV will get substantial improvements for 2026. The updated bZ will be available with up to 460 km of range on AWD models, representing a 25% increase over the previous generation. Power will also increase dramatically, with AWD models delivering 338 hp compared to the previous 214 hp.
The refreshed design will include updated front fascia and lighting elements, while the interior will feature a new 14-inch touchscreen and 64-colour ambient lighting. Like the C-HR, the bZ will adopt the NACS charging standard for broader fast-charging access.
The bZ Woodland will take Toyota's electric SUV capability to new levels with 375 hp, 210 mm of ground clearance, and a 1,587 kg (3,500 lbs) towing capacity. This adventure-focused model includes standard all-wheel drive with X-MODE for enhanced off-road performance and Grip-Control for maintaining steady speeds on rough terrain.
The Woodland's design emphasizes its outdoor capabilities with black overfenders, standard roof rails, and available all-terrain tires. Inside, SofTex-trimmed seats in Stone Brown or Black complement the outdoor theme, while the Premium Package adds features like JBL Premium Audio and a panoramic roof.
The Corolla Cross receives updates for 2026 that include refreshed exterior styling, a new Soul Red colour option, and interior improvements. The hybrid model gets a redesigned front bumper and grille, plus a new two-tone Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof option.
Three powertrain options are available: a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine producing 169 hp in front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, plus a hybrid system delivering 196 hp with all-wheel drive. Fuel efficiency ranges from 5.6L/100km for the hybrid to 7.8L/100km for AWD gas models.
